Attendorn

Attendorn is our first variable font and a powerfully morphing, multi-purpose display typeface. Based on a humanistic, roman foundation, it combines stylistic influences from American wood type and 90‘s Italian high fashion. Emotional influences from gloomy electronic music and the dramatic oil paintings of Caravaggio also played a role in the creation process. One place that perfectly embodies this typeface, in both aesthetics and atmosphere, is the majestic Atta Cave in Attendorn, Germany. Here you will find surreal yet elegant dripstone formations of all shapes and sizes. An inspiring environment that is at once strong and fragile. Beside the variable font, which offers the full spectrum, the currently available single fonts are Light Slim, Regular, Medium and Bold Wide. A variety of ligatures and stylistic sets complement the wide range of glyphs.  /Markus Abts
